Carole Anne Robison fell in love with oil painting while trying various mediums in art classes and workshops in Southern Louisiana.
Working in oils, Carole begins with an underpainting which is brought to completion using glazes. She has a realistic approach to her work and particularly enjoys featuring her family in paintings. Carole is proficient in landscapes, wildlife, portraits and architectural renderings. Bold colors and dramatic contrasts of lights and shadows illustrate the emotions felt for the subjects of the paintings.
Carole has been active in art organizations in several States with her work being shown in various Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas galleries. She has won many awards including First Place and Best of Show. Her art has been featured in public exhibitions, group and solo shows. Carole's paintings are exhibited in various States, private businesses, government buildings and private collections.
In December, 2004, Carole retired to the beautiful Ozarks in Arkansas and feels she is actually living in a painting. She is currently an active member of Spring River Art Gallery in Hardy, Arkansas.
